Mark Potse, PhD

I'm a scientist affiliated with the cardiac rhythmology and modeling institute LIRYC in Bordeaux, France, and with the Bordeaux Sud-Ouest center of Inria, the French national institute for computer science. [my past and present affiliations]

My research concentrates on 3 topics: cardiac sudden-death syndromes, atrial fibrillation, and the development of realistic computer models of the electrophysiology of the human heart. [more about my research]

My PhD is in physics, from the University of Amsterdam. I have been active in cardiac electrophysiology since 1994. First I worked on computer analysis of multichannel ECG data. Then I switched to simulation. Presently, I am trying to do both, in order to better understand the heart and its diseases.
